The Discovery Call

A discovery call kicks off our photo journey, laying the foundation for the entire process. It's a chance for us to connect, you to spill the beans about your ideas, and for us to sync up on expectations.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed? No worries! This guide is here to simplify everything. This pre-production meeting is a must before we start creating, ensuring your investment turns into killer, usable images—no money wasted here.

When does it happen?

Timing varies, but at I try to dive into a discovery call right after you hit me up. This way, your ideas are fresh and we're on the same wavelength from the get-go.

Who should join?

Ideally, both our squads should be in the room. If this is for business, it depends on the size—founder, marketing lead, art director, or just you. Anyone calling the shots on your product or brand should be in the mix to avoid delays.

Why's it a big deal?

This chat lays the groundwork for awesome photos that scream your brand. The more you share now, the better the final photos will be.

What's on the Q&A menu?

Be prepared for questions like:

  • Tell us about your brand.

  • Do you have any branding standards we should know about?

  • What's your vibe for images (colors, lighting, vibe)?

  • Where are these images going?

  • Share your inspiration board and even photography styles to avoid.

  • Brands you love or hate?

  • If your brand had a NYT feature pic, can you describe it?

  • Scope, budget, and timeline for this project?

What should you have ready?

Come armed with info about your brand and project. Not sure? No sweat—jot down some questions you've got, and we'll chat it out.

Excited to dive into this with you!
